1. What We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your first name, email address, and a hashed password. We also store your preferences (wealth profile, health goals, fitness level, gender if provided, and projection timeline). We do not collect or store your last name.

2. Photos & Images

When you take or upload a meal photo or a body reference photo, the image is processed in real time by our AI and is not stored. Images are analyzed, results are generated, and the original file is discarded immediately after processing. We do not maintain a photo database.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to personalize your UpliftPal experience — including market briefs, health plans, nutrition analysis, and AI conversations. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. AI & Personalization

UpliftPal uses AI models to generate personalized content. Your preferences and usage patterns help Pal adapt its responses over time. AI-generated content is not reviewed by humans unless you explicitly contact support.

5. Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. UpliftPal does not store your credit card number or banking details. All payment data is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.

6. Cookies & Analytics

We use minimal cookies for session management (keeping you logged in). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We may use basic analytics to understand usage patterns and improve the product.

7. Data Retention

Your account data is retained while your account is active. If you close your account, you have 30 days to reactivate. After 30 days, all personal data is permanently deleted from our systems.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Access to production systems is restricted to essential personnel only.

9. Your Rights

You may request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, or delete your account at any time from Settings. For data requests, contact [email protected].

10. Children's Privacy

UpliftPal is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. Users between 13 and 17 may use UpliftPal with parental or guardian consent.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
